Not in Edinburgh? We cover your town too:
Our garden clearance in Edinburgh takes overgrown or neglected gardens back to a clean slate – cutting back, clearing and removing green waste – ready for a fresh start.
Gardens get away from people for all sorts of reasons: a busy few years, a new house with a jungle out the back, an elderly relative's garden that's become too much, a rental that needs sorting between tenants. Whatever the reason, clearing it is usually the first step to a garden you can use again.

02
How a garden clearance works
- 1
Visit and quote
We look at the garden, agree what stays and what goes, and give you a fixed quote.
- 2
Mark what stays
Plants, trees or features you want to keep are marked before we start.
- 3
Cut back and clear
Working from the top down, we cut back, strip out and bag or load waste.
- 4
Remove waste
Everything cleared is taken away.
- 5
Leave it tidy
The garden left clear and swept, ready for whatever comes next.
03
After the clearance
Once a garden is cleared, you can see what you've got. That's often the point people start thinking about what comes next: a new patio, turf, fencing or a full garden design. Because we do all of those, we can quote for the clearance and the follow-on work together. If you'd rather just keep on top of it, see garden maintenance.

04
Who we clear gardens for
Homeowners
who've just moved in or let a garden get away from them
Families
sorting out a relative's garden
Landlords and letting agents
preparing a property between tenants
Property sellers
who want the garden to help, not hinder, a sale
05
Things to check before clearing
Nesting birds
It's an offence to destroy an active nest, so heavy hedge cutting is best avoided in the main nesting season, roughly March to August. We check before we cut.
Protected trees
Trees covered by a Tree Preservation Order, or in a conservation area, need council consent before work.
Japanese knotweed
If we suspect knotweed, we'll stop and tell you. It needs specialist treatment and can't be disposed of with normal green waste.
06
Where we clear gardens
Across Edinburgh and the Lothians, from tenement back greens and terraced gardens in the city to large plots in Midlothian and East Lothian.

Garden clearance FAQs
How long does a garden clearance take?
Most gardens are cleared in a day or two. Very overgrown or large gardens take longer.
Do I need to be there?
Only at the start to agree what stays. After that, as long as we have access, we can get on with it.
Can you clear just part of a garden?
Yes. We can clear a section, a hedge line or a single overgrown border.
